Okay I messed up the recipe ever so slightly, I forgot to tell you what to do with the sugar and basil. I've updated the recipe now.
Also, hot-waterbottle gate keeps rolling on. Seems that there's quite a few of you out there with some. Remember, I know who you are.
So what happened today? Hmm. Well I was working with my new partner, and just as I was starting to think it was me that was the arse, I get someone with teamwork and quality. It's just a shame that we;ll only be in the kitchen with each other twice this week. I'm missing him already.
We decided to do all the dishes together as we didn't think it was stretching us enough just to do half of them. So it was Pork Belly today ( a really lovely tasting cut, and very cheap, i'd recommend you all try it). There was another goats cheese salad, some Braised Jueruslam Artichoke and a Caramelized Apple Tart, this gave me another opportunity with the blow torch. I stopped half-way through as I didn't feel at all happy with it. It wasn't so much as a blow torch, more of a welder. Again, I'm sure it's not me and the equipment. I still got a 6 for it though. Haha!
Tomorrow is going to be another long lecture day. Wine in the morning, Tapas in the afternoon.
